Safehotels is the world’s leading company for independent hotel safety and security certification. Our certified hotels are found in over 160 city destinations in more than 60 countries. We are recognized by hotel and travel industry associations, UNISDR and insurance companies. We are now experiencing strong growth and are therefore looking to expand our team with a Sales and Marketing Coordinator.

Job description 

As our Sales and Marketing Coordinator, you will become an important addition to our office in Gothenburg or Stockholm. For the right candidate we do not see geography as a limiting factor.

This role entails working with a wide range of different assignments within the sales and marketing area. You will be responsible for our Communication and PR plan and your tasks will include producing reports on an annual basis regarding our sales and marketing activities, as well as monthly debriefs. Other assignments  include writing press releases, marketing literature, industry publications as well as contract documents.

You will be the point of contact with our PR firm, assuming responsibility for coordinating PR and marketing activities. Sales meetings and customer service will be a part of this role, which you execute with the highest quality in mind. You will also participate in planning trade shows and events. As our Sales and Marketing Coordinator, you will be in charge of updating our website and social media platforms. This includes developing our current social media strategy so that the content stays up to date, dynamic and serves a marketing purpose.

On the client side, you will also have some contact with the hotels, helping in answering different qualified questions as well as following up leads to new business opportunities.

For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to grow this role into a more senior position as the organization expands and matures. You report to the COO.

Your profile 

You are a result driven individual who recognizes that building strong relationships is key, both internally and externally, with partners and clients. You are a natural communicator, both verbally and in writing, you think strategically, are open-minded, flexible and curious. You pride yourself on being professional, take direction well and are very service minded.

You have your ear to the ground, are not driven by prestige, always ready to question a set direction if market intel offers new information. You are a team-player who thrives on delivering your part of the whole, but are equally comfortable working efficiently on your own. You are motivated by the opportunity to express and execute new ideas on how we can develop our sales and marketing strategy.

To be successful in the role we think you have/are:

*At least 5 years’ experience from a similar role

*A minimum of 5 years’ experience from the hospitality industry

*Native speaker of English or at an equal level, with excellent communication skills

*Minimum Bachelor’s degree within a relevant area

*Excellent skill in MS Office, InDesign and other publishing tools
