Like many members of the Safehotels team, Alex has hospitality in his blood. The son of a hotelier, he has been involved in the industry all his life, including working for a major French hospitality group.
Now, as a Safehotels Master Service Provider (MSP), based in France, Alex travels thousands of miles every year to help hotels achieve the world’s leading hotel safety and security certification: the Safehotels Global Hotel Security Standard ©.
What makes hospitality such a special industry? Alex believes it is the diversity: “No two hotels are the same. Every property we work with is highly individual and I enjoy helping them find the right certification solution for their hotel.” Safehotels certification makes sense in its own right, giving guests the reassurance that they are staying in a property that has been independently assessed to comply with the highest safety and security standards. But Alex believes certification brings an extra benefit in the age of social media: “Guests today expect the highest safety and security standards as a fundamental, and are quick to tell others when their expectations are not met. Risk management is less costly than bad reviews on trip review sites.”
