Safehotels and ICCA get together to develop comprehensive guide to Crisis Management
Safehotels and ICCA – the global community and knowledge hub for
the international association meetings industry – have developed a comprehensive set of guidelines to help association executives plan, prepare, manage, and recover from any crisis situation.
Crisis Management: Operational guidelines for association executives focuses on how organisations can develop structured solutions to crisis and emergency situations by allocating and utilising effective resources to ensure minimal impact to people, reputation and assets – in that order of priority.
The joint-paper also includes a number of templates that association executives can use to support planning, plus case studies and advice on dealing with the media.
Safehotels’ Andy Williams contributed to the paper, and commented: “Preparation is key to managing crises effectively. The paper provides a framework and best practices association executives can use to plan and prepare. The worst rarely happens but being ready means you can act swiftly to reduce the impact of an unforeseen event.”
Updated earlier this year, you can download your copy of Crisis Management: operational guidelines for association executives here.
