For Hotel Owners & Operators
- Contact and sign up with Safehotels
- Safehotels then contacts the hotel to agree a date for an onsite safety and secuity assessment, provides a copy of the Safehotels Standards Manual containing the Safehotels Global Hotel Security Standard © and advance visit questionnaire to upload key documents relating to fire, safety, security, and crisis management procedures, plans and service records.
- The assessment is conducted by a Safehotels auditor by means of: visual inspection, detailed walk through of the hotel and venue, face to face meetings and interviews with relevant managers and employees within the hotel, testing and inspection of certain security and fire equipment/systems.
- Following the assessment a report is produced confirming certification or any action points to complete.
- Corrective actions are confirmed by sending documentary evidence, pictures, or other media from the Hotel GM to Safehotels within 6 months of the hotel visit date. These are additionally validated during the hotel’s first annual re-certification
- Successful hotels are issued with a digital certificate and plaque that is valid for one year and then reassessed on a yearly basis from the date of the previous audit.

For corporate travel programs we can provide a monthly updated list of certified Safehotels in high-risk locations. Our auditors and quality assurance team have expert knowledge and experience of working in these locations to provide additional insight where required.

Safehotels certification simplifies the identification of preferred hotels for safety and security, ensuring a secure environment for meetings, incentives, conferences, and events (MICE).
